Save Sterling guide
How cashback works
What cashback is, why it is not an instant discount, and what to check before you treat it as money back.
It is not money off at the till
Cashback is a possible amount back after an eligible purchase through a named provider. It is usually not taken off the price while you pay.
Compare the price before cashback. A cheaper shop, with no cashback, can still be the better deal.
What has to happen
You start from the provider’s own instructions and complete an eligible purchase. The retailer or provider then decides whether the cashback tracks, and whether it is approved.
Using a voucher the provider has not allowed, or cancelling or returning the order, can stop the cashback. Keep your receipt and order confirmation until it is paid.
Who pays it
Customer cashback is paid by the named provider, under that provider’s terms. Save Sterling does not track your shopping and does not pay cashback itself.
Treat it as a possible bonus until it has been approved and paid. Approval is not guaranteed, and there is often a wait.
